‘My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world.
I hope you’ll join with me as we try to change  it.
‘  — Barack Obama

The Tea Party protests, in their current form, began in early 2009 after Rick Santelli, the On Air Editor for CNBC, set out on a rant to expose the bankrupt liberal agenda of the White House Administration and Congress. Specifically, the flawed “Stimulus Bill” and irresponsible pork filled spending.

During Rick’s rant, he called for a “Chicago Tea Party” where advocates of the free-market system could join in a protest against out of control government spending. A few days later, grassroots activists and average Joe Americans began organizing what would soon become the Nationwide Chicago Tea Party effort.

On February 27th, an estimated 30,000 Americans took to the street in 40+ cities accross the country in the first nationwide “Tea Party” protest. Organizers of the February 27th events pledged to continue on with an even bigger and better protest to follow the first. With April 15th being “Tax Day”, it was decided to schedule the second round of Tea Party protests to ride alongside the tax deadline.

An element of the Tea Party Movement that beltway insiders get red faced even nasty about is its self driven, true grassroots foundation. The Movement cannot be controlled, driven, directed, or even calculated. It’s an animal unlike any other in politics, and the typical players of the free-market movement haven’t grasped the nature of the activism behind it. Most Politicians and Liberal Biased Media mouth pieces have claimed the movement has no relevancy and tries to poke fun of the US Citizens. The Strength of America “We The People” is just getting started. And in 2010… Will begin to take back the country from the progressive infiltration. Currently these So Called Marxist Experts believe that the Tea Party is Doomed because their is no clear “Leader of the Tea Party Movement” They have forgotten the most important part of the Grassroots movement “We The People” The Tea Party is not a “Party” at all, it is the American Citizens taking back the reckless out of control government run by the Progressive Democrat community organizers.

9 Principles, 12 Values

The 9-12 Principles

1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

God “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained.” George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

Honesty “I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.” George Washington

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

Marriage/Family “It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” Thomas Jefferson

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

Justice “I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.” Thomas Jefferson

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

Life, Liberty, & The Pursuit of Happiness “Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” Thomas Jefferson

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

Charity “It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” George Washington

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

On your right to disagree “In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” George Washington

9. The government works for me. I do not answer to them, they answer to me.

Who works for whom? “I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.” Thomas Jefferson

The Tea Party 12 Values “From Glen Beck’s 9-12 Project”

* Reverence

* Hope

* Thrift

* Humility

* Charity

* Sincerity

* Moderation

* Hard Work

Publius (04.01.2012 02:47h): Iowa Caucus Open Thread

***UPDATE*** Romney edges Santorum by eight votes to win Iowa caucuses. It begins. Very tight race between Romney, Paul and Santorum. Tight battle for 4th between Gingrich and Perry. Check back for reaction from the Breitbart world throughout the night. Joel Pollak: Editor, Breitbart.com: Tonight, the first votes were cast to replace Barack Obama. The “story” is Rick Santorum’s hard-earned success, but the most exciting part of the Iowa caucuses for me was watching the Big Government live stream from a caucus in Ames. It was refreshing to hear people argue for their candidates in their own words. I thought ... [Link] [Cache]

Surprise, Surprise (03.01.2012 23:43h): Democrats Join GOP Caucuses to Push Ron Paul

Progressives are hoping to rock the vote in the 2012 Iowa caucuses… by voting for Ron Paul. Photo source: waznmentobe.com The reliably left-wing Mother Jones recently ran a story asking if Iowa progressives were Ron Paul’s wildcard in the race. The story pointed to supporters like Francis Thicke, an organic farmer from Fairfield, Iowa, who ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination for secretary of agriculture in 2010. On Tuesday, Thicke announced his support for Paul ”to keep his voice for peace and his voice to reduce the military in the debate, because he will challenge the other Republican candidates.” Thicke ... Holder Math Part 2 (03.01.2012 22:12h): DOJ Lays Trap to Misrepresent South Carolina Voter Data

To understand the truly obscene nature of the fraud perpetrated by Obama’s Justice Department on the state of South Carolina, you need to see the statistical trap that they’ve laid out. The DOJ is well aware that the numbers upon which they are basing their decision about South Carolina’s voter ID laws are incorrect. By establishing the “Holder Math” standard that I described in part one of this series, when the correct numbers are acknowledged, the DOJ will be able to claim dishonestly that the situation is actually even worse than before. Publius (03.01.2012 21:07h): Indiana House Speaker Plans Quick Push for ‘Right to Work’ Law

INDIANAPOLIS AP – Indiana’s Republican House leader on Tuesday promised swift movement on a push to make his state the first in more than a decade to ban labor contracts that require employees to pay union fees. Speaker Brian Bosma of Indianapolis told the Associated Press he is confident he can push the “right-to-work” bill through his chamber during the 2012 session that begins Wednesday and is spending a lot “personal capital” to do so. “We assume nothing,” Bosma said. “I don’t assume we have all the Republicans votes, in fact I know I don’t and I don’t presume we ... Red Alert (03.01.2012 20:14h): New Unconstitutional Presidential Power Grab May Be Imminent

Senate Republicans have been holding up the confirmation of Richard Cordray to head the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau until changes to the agency’s structure are made to provide oversight and accountability at the agency. But sources from inside the Capitol tell Capitol Confidential that a recess appointment of Richard Cordray to head the unconstitutional CFPB could come as early as tomorrow. “We have been hearing consistently from the Senate offices that the President is considering a recess appointment of Richard Cordray along with a slew of other controversial nominees in the brief period between the two sessions of Congress,” ... Higher Education Bubble (02.01.2012 04:13h): Columbia to Offer ‘Occupy 101′ Class

From the New York Post: Does getting pepper-sprayed count as extra credit? Columbia University is offering a new course on Occupy Wall Street next semester — sending upperclassmen and grad students into the field for full course credit. The class is taught by Dr. Hannah Appel, who boasts about her nights camped out in Zuccotti Park. As many as 30 students will be expected to get involved in ongoing OWS projects outside the classroom, the syllabus says. The class will be in the anthropology department and called “Occupy the Field: Global Finance, Inequality, Social Movement.” It will be divided between ... [Link] [Cache]

Dr. Susan Berry (01.01.2012 23:23h): No Rest For Conservative America, the ‘Sleeping Giant’, in 2012

Remember this video? Though this clip was replayed again and again- a sign that Americans were “awakened” as a result of the realization that President Obama and the liberal Democrats were, indeed, on the path to “fundamentally transform” the nation- the sad, but accurate, phrase used by the woman speaking is, “sleeping giant.” Conservative America has been a “sleeping giant.” Most Americans describe themselves as “conservative.” And conservatives, by nature, tend to mind their own business. Unless, of course, their “own business” is being run over by a controlling, liberal president and his cronies. American conservatives have indeed had to ... [Link] [Cache]

‘Let’s Move’ (01.01.2012 22:04h): A Government Initiative to Lie to Kids

Recently, an aggressive media campaign has been launched by Let’s Move, a government-funded fitness initiative led by Michelle Obama. As you will see in this TV spot that’s airing, one of many, the message of the Let’s Move campaign is quite simple: Lying to your children is fine because it’s good for them. Let’s Move should be relabeled Let’s Lie. Social engineering—for that’s exactly what this is—is not just ineffective but it is evil. In a sense, we should be glad these commercials are out there. It serves as a wake-up call that Liberal ideology justifies the use of lies, ... [Link] [Cache]

Joel B. Pollak (01.01.2012 21:10h): Democrats’ ‘Brain Trust’ Hit by Antisemitism Accusations

Accusations of antisemitism are building against the Center for American Progress CAP , the left-wing umbrella organization that serves as a “brain trust” for Democrats on Capitol Hill and in the Obama administration. The latest to weigh in are the American Jewish Committee and the Anti-Defamation League, two leading American Jewish organizations, which have joined the Simon Wiesenthal Center in criticizing CAP and its offshoot, Media Matters for America, for attacks on Israel that go beyond legitimate criticism and may cross the line into antisemitism. Last month, Politico reported that CAP and MMfA have both taken anti-Israel positions that “are ... [Link] [Cache]

J. Christian Adams (01.01.2012 19:31h): Occupy Movement Comes to Elementary Schools

Keeping politics out of government run schools requires constant vigilance. In recent years, political ideology has been brazenly imposed on students across the country. Woodbrook Elementary School in Charlottesville, Virginia, provides the latest example of a government school imposing left wing ideology, this time with the Marxist rhetoric of the Occupy movement. Woodbrook Elementary, principal Lisa Molinaro , allowed leftist activists into the school to train third graders in writing songs which were performed at an assembly organized by an outside group – Kid Pan Alley – in October of this year. The tune the 3rd graders “wrote” and performed ... [Link] [Cache]

Charles C. Johnson (01.01.2012 18:02h): ‘Occupy the Caucus’ Is Basically a One Man Operation

Earlier this week I wrote about David Goodner, the head of Occupy Des Moines and a professional activist in Iowa. Here he is on video disrupting Newt Gingrich’s event at the Iowa Capitol. Here he is, in plaid, disrupting Mitt Romney’s Iowa campaign office. Nine members of Occupy the Iowa Caucuses were arrested outside of Romney’s offices. Of those nine, however, four were from out of state. Perhaps the Occupy the Iowa caucus movement isn’t nearly as grassroots as we have thought? And here he is trying to Occupy the Democratic party headquarters in Iowa after failing to occupy the ... [Link] [Cache]

Des Moines Register Iowa Poll (01.01.2012 01:19h): Romney Narrowly Leads Paul, Santorum Surges

The Des Moines Register, which is widely considered one of very best indicators of how the results of the Iowa caucuses will turn out, has released their final Republican primary poll. The race is still up for grabs, with Mitt Romney clinging to a narrow lead over Ron Paul. Yet, the most compelling storyline of this last weekend before the primary continues to be Rick Santorum, who has gone “all in” in Iowa and surged in the poll. He needs a great result Tuesday to jump-start a campaign that has yet to catch on nationally. The poll, conducted Tuesday through ... [Link] [Cache]

Frank Salvato (31.12.2011 22:48h): So, What Actually Came of the ‘Tea Party Election’ of 2010?

We were so full of “hope” for “change.” No, I am not talking about the election of Barack Obama, one of the most effective Progressive presidents in American history. I am speaking of the excitement felt within the Conservative, Libertarian and Center Right and Left political communities after the 2010 election delivered the House and a non-filibuster proof Senate to the American people. Finally, most of us thought, some balance in the federal government. Maybe, just maybe, the Progressives and Liberal Democrats in federal government would be forced to the table of true and honest compromise; compromise fitting of a ... [Link] [Cache]

The accompanying parade, the Rose Parade, predates the game, dating way back to 1890. Publius (31.12.2011 17:44h): Obama to ‘Focus Almost Exclusively on Campaigning’

From the Associated Press: Obama’s election year retreat from legislative fights means this term will end without significant progress on two of his 2008 campaign promises, an immigration overhaul and closing the military prison for terrorist suspects atGuantanamo Bay, Cuba. Presidential directives probably won’t make a big dent in the nation’s 8.6 percent unemployment rate or lead to significant improvements in the economy. That’s the chief concern for many voters and the issue on which Republican candidates are most likely to criticize Obama. In focusing on executive actions rather than ambitious legislation, the president risks appearing to be putting election-year ... [Link] [Cache]

Building the Perfect Beast (31.12.2011 00:08h): How the Political Class & Their Cronies Rig the System

The Political Class has honed a dangerous skill, building the perfect undetectable fraud machine. Americans need to learn to spot these scams for their own protection and realize that the perpetrators can come from either political party and often work in cahoots with attorneys or big business. Think about three seemingly unconnected news stories, all examples of costly or dangerously indictable fraud machines… The economic collapse of 2008 was caused in part by relaxed mortgage rules that allowed borrowers to get a home loan without a down payment or even proof of income in some cases.
