Shea legislation seeks to reclaim U.S. Constitutional states’ rights for Washington

Citizens from throughout Washington will arrive in Olympia Thursday, Jan. 14, to rally on the Capitol steps, asking lawmakers to pass legislation that reasserts state sovereignty.

The rally is part of the “10th Amendment movement” in which lawmakers in a growing number of states, including Washington, are telling the federal government to back off and quit meddling in the states’ business. The 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution declares: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”  Read more... The Republican Party is and is supposed to be the “Party of No”. The Democratic party has revised this seemingly old attack on the Republican Party  in the hopes that the label  “Do Nothing Party” sticks .
